Periodic Electrical Inspections

UK legislation requires that all electrical installations are maintained in a safe condition as to ensure that the electrical installation has not become unsafe though deterioration or damage.

In addition current IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) also require that the periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations is carried out at such intervals as are consistent with the type of installation, its use and operation, the frequency of maintenance, and the external influences upon it.

Rose Fire & Security Limited remains an NICEIC approved contractor and our Engineers are City and Guilds 2391 trained to undertake Periodic Electrical Inspections in all types of premise, commercial, industrial, offices, educational establishments and houses. Typical examples of maximum recommended periods between inspections are as follows;

  • Domestic dwellings every 10 years, or on change of occupancy
  • Retail premises every 3 years
  • Industrial premises every 3 years
  • Offices every 5 years
  • Caravan Parks every year
  • Swimming baths every year

Following the inspections being performed Rose Fire & Security will issue a report of the inspection, together with detailed test results and any further recommendations as they may arise.
