What to consider:

• The picture needs to be of a good quality having image sizes that enable the identification and recognition of offenders should the perpetrator be caught and prosecuted.
• Cameras should be suitably sited to address your specific business risks with careful consideration being given to the areas needing to be covered and the risks in those areas. Viewing angles and lighting are both important factors.
• Cameras set too high will only capture the top of people’s heads!
• Obscured cameras won’t capture the full view
• Angles set too widely are unlikely to capture sufficient detail
• Storage and retention of the images need to be considered along with playback and export features

The system should also comply with British Standards.
